These Terms apply to all services offered by Open Heart Connections, including but not limited to:

• 1:1 coaching sessions and coaching packages

• Conversation Compass sessions

• Group coaching programs

• Workshops and events

The information provided on this website is intended for general information and educational purposes only. It should not be relied upon as medical, psychological, legal, or other professional advice.

Coaching is a collaborative process that supports personal growth, wellbeing, communication skills, and behaviour change. Coaching is not counselling, psychotherapy, psychology, psychiatry, medical treatment, or crisis support and should not be used as a substitute for professional healthcare.

If you are experiencing a medical or mental health emergency, please seek immediate assistance from an appropriate healthcare professional or emergency service.

2. Services

​

• Our coaching sessions, workshops, and group programs are designed to support personal development, self-awareness, and communication skills.

• Every individual is different. Results depend on many factors, including your own commitment, circumstances, and willingness to apply what you learn. Therefore, Open Heart Connections cannot guarantee any specific outcome.

• You remain responsible for your own decisions, actions, and wellbeing during and after coaching.

 

3. Bookings & Payments

• All services must be booked in advance.

• A booking is confirmed once payment has been received, unless otherwise agreed in writing.

• Payment terms, including coaching packages, payment plans, or instalments, will be communicated before booking.

• All prices are in New Zealand Dollars (NZD).

 

Community Contribution Model

​

• Our pricing is based on a Contribution Model, allowing clients to contribute according to their financial circumstances.

• Suggested contribution ranges are provided during the booking process. Clients are encouraged to choose a contribution that feels fair and sustainable for their situation.

 

4. Cancellation, Rescheduling and Refund Policy

​

4.1 Single sessions:

• If you need to cancel or reschedule a session, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice.

• Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours' notice, or missed without notice, are non-refundable unless exceptional circumstances apply.

4.2 Packages:

• If you purchase a package (e.g. multiple sessions) and decide not to continue, you may request a refund for unused sessions.

​

• Refunds will be calculated by deducting:

  • the standard rate for any sessions already attended,

  • and an administration fee of 20 % of the remaining refundable amount.

• If you need to cancel or reschedule a session within your package, please provide at least 24 hours’ notice.

• Sessions cancelled with less than 24 hours’ notice may be counted as one completed session from your package unless exceptional circumstances apply.

 

      Package Validity

• Coaching packages are intended to be completed within the timeframe stated in the package description and are valid from the date of purchase for that period, unless otherwise agreed.

4.3 Workshops & Group Programs:

• Refunds are available up to 7 days before the start date.

• After that time, fees are non-refundable but may, at our discretion, be transferred to another participant or a future workshop where appropriate.

• Open Heart Connections reserves the right to cancel or reschedule workshops or group programs due to insufficient participant numbers, illness, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. If this occurs, participants will be offered either a full refund or a transfer to a future event.

4.4 Cancellation by Open Heart Connections

• If a coaching session needs to be cancelled or rescheduled due to illness or unforeseen circumstances, Open Heart Connections will offer an alternative appointment as soon as reasonably possible or, where appropriate, a full refund.

• Refunds will be processed using the original payment method. Please allow up to 10 business days for processing.

5. Newsletter

• By subscribing to our newsletter, you agree to receive occasional emails containing updates, resources, and information about our services.

• You may unsubscribe at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” link in every email.

6. Website Use & Intellectual Property

• You agree to use this website only for lawful purposes and in a way that does not interfere with its operation or the use of the website by others.

• Unless otherwise stated, all content on this website - including text, images, graphics, logos, downloads, and resources - is the intellectual property of Open Heart Connections and is protected by copyright and other applicable laws.

• You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, publish, modify, or commercially use any content without prior written permission.

• While we make reasonable efforts to keep this website available and up to date, we do not guarantee that it will always be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free from viruses or other harmful components.

• Open Heart Connections takes reasonable care in providing its services and maintaining this website.

• To the maximum extent permitted by New Zealand law, Open Heart Connections is not responsible for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from the use of this website or our services.

• Our total liability for any claim relating to a service is limited to the amount paid by you for that particular service.

• Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or limits any rights or remedies you may have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, the Fair Trading Act 1986, or any other applicable New Zealand law.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, any dispute arising out of or relating to these Terms or the provided services shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New Zealand..
