About the event
Do you ever walk away from conversations feeling misunderstood or wishing you had said something differently?
Maybe you hold things back to keep the peace, and later feel tense or resentful.
Or you speak up, only to be met with defensiveness, negativity, or silence.
This workshop is for people who want to communicate more honestly without blaming, pleasing, or shutting down.
In this 3-hour interactive session, you’ll be introduced to the foundations of Nonviolent Communication (NVC), a practical, human approach to communication that helps you stay connected to yourself while staying in relationship with others.
Rather than focusing on “saying things the right way,” we’ll slow down and explore:
How to distinguish what you observe from the stories you tell about it
How to express feelings and needs without criticism or justification
How to make clear, doable requests that leave room for choice, for yourself and others
You’ll have space to reflect on your own real-life situations and practice with others in a supportive and respectful setting. There is no pressure to share more than feels right for you.
This workshop is especially helpful if you:
Often feel misunderstood or not fully heard
Find it hard to speak up until it feels too late
Get overwhelmed or defensive in difficult conversations
Want more clarity, self-trust, and choice in how you communicate
This is not about fixing yourself or others, it’s about building awareness, language, and inner space so you can respond more intentionally.
Group size is limited to 16 participants to allow for depth, safety, and connection. No prior experience with Nonviolent Communication is needed.
If you’re curious about communicating with more honesty and kindness, with yourself and with others, this workshop is likely for you.
